Description

From a country estate in the county of devon this small red walnut estate desk has eight oak lined drawers and original brass furniture. Circa 1790. It bears the marks of a good and hard working life witnessing 230 plus years of overseeing the day to day happenings on a country estate.

The desk has a removal, lift off top located with stubby dowels and carrying handles to each pedestal allowing it to be moved from place to place with relative ease.

This is a beautiful and characterful piece of totally functional furniture spanning hundreds of years and still fit very much for purpose.
