Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The doors which lock and come with a working key, open to reveal a single adjustable shelf to the interior. In superb flame-figured mahogany veneers with beautiful age and patina it features decorative beaded edges to the panelled doors and is raised on turned feet. It features a dummy back, so the piece can be displayed on a centre table or placed sideways on a desk.

Good colour and original patina. Top has some blemishes and marks as well as an area that has some old filler. Small section of beading missing to top section of one door. Some veneer loss just above either side of the drawer. Old mend to drawer.
