Description

A stunning and very decorative large Chinoiserie cabinet. The red ground lacquer decorated with typical Chinese scenes including willow trees, pagoda, mountains and fishermen all in raised lacquer with gilded highlights. The cabinet has 4 doors with working locks with keys and open to shelved interiors. Between the cupboards is a useful pull out slide which suggests this cabinet was intended to be used as a cocktail cabinet.
