The top displays a striking radial composition centred with birds amidst foliage, surrounded by shaped panels depicting musical trophies, florals, and scrolling acanthus, all set against contrasting ebonised grounds and framed by a bold ebonised moulded edge.
The table is supported on an impressive and highly decorative carved triform base, featuring a substantial central column issuing three boldly scrolled legs. Each leg is richly carved with flowing acanthus leaves, scrollwork, and gadrooned detail, terminating in elegant scrolling feet fitted with original castors. The depth of carving and sculptural quality of the base demonstrate excellent Victorian craftsmanship and provide both strength and visual impact.
