Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

French terrestrial globes became prominent educational and navigational tools during the nineteenth century, with Parisian cartographers producing detailed spheres featuring updated geographical discoveries and ocean currents.

Traditional terrestrial globes were constructed using plaster or papier-mache spheres overlaid with printed paper gores, mounted onto brass meridian arcs and dark turned wooden or cast metal bases.

Authentic pieces feature a printed makers cartouche citing J. Forest and Paris, detailed French cartographic labelling, natural varnish discolouration, period-accurate territorial boundaries, and age-consistent metal patina.

Display the globe on an office desk, library shelf, or console table alongside leather-bound books and brass desk accessories to enhance a classic study setting.

Position the item away from direct sunlight and fluctuating humidity to avoid paper fading or warping, dusting gently with a dry microfibre cloth without chemical cleaners.
