The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The chain measures 33cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
Each of the links has the lion silver mark.

The chain comes with a silver fob, hallmarked for 1919, with a sponsor’s mark for the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd. The Kings, Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense (the motto of the Order of the Garter), Nec Aspera Terrant (translates as ‘difficulties do not scare us’) and serves as a motto for various military units. The fob also has ‘Egypt’ at the bottom.
The reverse of the fob is engraved, ‘L/Sgt H Roberts, Officers & Sergts, Shoot 1922’.
