A very large vintage Oriental hand-knotted wool rug, woven in a traditional style known for its generous scale, durability, and decorative presence. Rugs of this type are particularly well suited to large rooms, reception spaces, and formal interiors, where their size and pattern can be fully appreciated.

Hand-knotted using quality wool, the rug has a soft yet robust handle, reflecting the time and skill required to produce a carpet of this scale. Pieces of this size would typically take many months to complete, using established hand-weaving techniques.

Overall good vintage condition, with signs of age and use consistent with a genuine hand-knotted rug. There are two visible marks, as shown in the photographs, and a small area of pile loss at the bottom right-hand corner. The foundation remains intact, and the rug remains structurally sound.
