Description

An elegant antique French Louis XVI ormolu mounted mahogany fire-screen, circa 1870 in date.

This fine mahogany screen has a shaped arched pediment centred by a gilt bronze cartouche flanked by carved reeded columns with ormolu pineapple terminals and rosettes, a silk upholstered panel on scroll feet decorated with acanthus and palmette mounts.
