Antique Christopher Dresser Brass Fire Dogs / Andirons - Benham & Froud

A pair of brass fire dogs designed by Dr Christopher Dresser and manufactured by Benham and Froud dating to around 1880. As can be seen in the photos, they are in excellent condition. The fire dogs have been professionally cleaned and polished and finished with a high quality clear wax. They measure 16.5 cm in height and 19 cm wide.
