Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1890s.
Drawers in each pedestal have dividers that can be moved about and modified to suit. One key locks the tambour and all drawers, thanks to a clever integral locking mechanism. The lower drawer on the right pedestal is double height, with two drawer fronts, allowing for deeper file storage.

The Makers plate affixed to the front of the tambour shows it to have been made by the Rand & Leopold Desk Company, of Burlington, Ohio, USA. The company history with name changes at intervals, dates this desk to between 1888-1900.
Dimensions: Width: 60 inches (152.5 cm). Depth: 34 inches (62.5 cm). Height (to desktop): 29.5 inches (75 cm). Height (to top of unit): 46.5 inches (118 cm).
