Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A spill vase is a small decorative ceramic vessel produced in Staffordshire, England, during the 18th and 19th centuries designed to hold thin wood splints or rolled paper spills used for transferring fire to candles and lamps.

Early Staffordshire figures were crafted from earthenware covered in a cobalt-tinted lead glaze known as pearlware, finished with overglaze enamel colours and hand-moulded bocage foliage elements.

Authentic pieces feature a faint blue tint where glaze collects in crevices, hand-moulded details, age-appropriate enamel wear, and occasionally impressed maker marks on raised ceramic ribbon scrolls at the base.

Position the item on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or window sill alongside modern art or neutral glassware to establish a visual balance between historical folk art and contemporary design.

Dust gently with a soft dry brush, avoiding water submersion or chemical cleaners that can compromise original overglaze enamel pigments and delicate bocage foliage.
