Ritas Bazaar has dated these Sitzendorf Porcelain Figural Candlesticks to the 19th Century.
The figures depict a young girl holding a small goat and a boy holding a dog. The modelling shows soft facial features, gentle expressions and rounded forms characteristic of quality Sitzendorf production, with a pleasing balance between figural detail and architectural height. The impressive scale gives the pair strong visual presence when displayed.
On one base there is a weakly visible underglaze Sitzendorf mark. The underside of each piece bears an impressed model number “216”, accompanied by small green technological marks. Large figural candlesticks of this height were produced in smaller quantities and are increasingly difficult to find as surviving matched pairs.

Boy: Height 32.3 cm; width 13.2 cm; depth 13.2 cm; weight 1071 g
Condition
Girl: Minimal chips to applied flowers. Small losses to the leaf-form drip pan beneath the candle socket (two leaves chipped). Overall very good antique condition.
