This beautiful quality silver wine bottle stopper which was originally made in Germany dates from 1895 and has full UK hallmarks.

This novelty Victorian stopper of a cat figure proudly wearing an advertising sandwich board is a charming piece and the reverse board is blank so could be engraved if you so wished.

This novelty antique bottle stopper feels heavy in the hand and has been fitted with a new cork.

A stylish way to serve your wine and would make a wonderful gift for a cat lover.

Material: Silver.

Date: 1895.

Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked with Lion for silver, Leopard's head for London, makers mark BM for B. Muller & Son. Date letter U for 1895. F import mark.

Dimensions: Diameter at widest part: 3 cm (1 1/4"). Height including cork: 8 cm (3 1/4").

Weight: 38 g.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with only very light signs of use in keeping with age. A new cork has been fitted so fits well in bottles. Please see pictures.
