Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Kidney-shaped tables, popularised in eighteenth-century France as tables a rognon and revived during the late Victorian and Edwardian eras, feature a distinctive concave front design that allows comfortable access to the tabletop while seated.

Craftsmen typically utilised mahogany, rosewood, or satinwood frames adorned with decorative marquetry and parquetry inlays using contrasting woods such as boxwood, ebony, and fruitwood.

Authentic pieces generally feature hand-cut dovetail joints on drawers, original brass hardware, historical wood patina, and precise hand-cut timber inlays rather than modern printed veneers.

Position this compact piece in a hall alcove, beside a reading armchair, or in a bedroom corner, utilizing the lower shelf for books while keeping the tabletop curated with minimal ceramics or lighting.

Dust regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and apply a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year, ensuring the piece is kept away from direct heat sources and moisture to prevent wood movement or inlay lifting.
