A very fine Chamberlain Worcester porcelain Armorial Crested Jug c.1795 - 1800. Of spiral fluted form, decorated with a yellow ground and gilding, the front decorated with a monogram ''JJ'' in gold below a crest, probably that of Jenkins, Co. Salop.
Marked in gold script ''Chamberlains Worcester'' to the base
Note: A similarly shaped jug painted with a view of Buildwas Abbey is illustrated in Geoffrey A. Godden, Chamberlain-Worcester Porcelain, 1788-1852, p. 91, fig. 98.
Condition: Good with just a professionally restored crack to the side of the jug and base of the handle.
