Description

A great 19th century Scottish horn snuff mull. Super curl to the horn. The unmarked silver mounts carry a crest to the top of a hand holding a trowel together with the owners initials. To the rim is the name Benjamin Clerk ABDn (Aberdeen). An internet search has shown up the following :

Benjamin Clerk a clerk working for a Lime Merchant A Milne in 19th century Aberdeen. This would fit in with the trowel in the hand.

The inside of the lid has been re-corked.
