Description

A Victorian chest of drawers of compact, four-drawer form, with finely figured mahogany veneer to the drawer fronts and top, and pine carcass with stained pine sides. Arranged with four full-width graduated drawers, finished with turned knobs and brass escutcheons, all raised on simple bracket feet.

A quietly assured piece of Victorian domestic furniture, conservative in style and practical in intent. Its near-square proportions make it particularly versatile, equally suited to use as a bedroom chest, dressing chest or refined storage piece in a guest room or study.

Presented in very good antique condition, with a warm, aged patina throughout and minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Structurally solid, clean and ready to place in the home.
