Rare Pair of Old Sheffield Plated Snips & 2 Snuffers on Tray C1810

Description

This beautiful pair of snuffer snips is close plated and marked for respected maker J Gilbert. Sitting on an Old Sheffield Plated tray, which is tinned to the base. With a pair of Old Sheffield Plated snuffers which are visibly seamed. This rare set dates to c1810.

In good condition with slight wear to the snuffers and slight copper bleed to the snuffers. Overall an excellent set with signs of wear consummate with age and use.

Total weight approx 280g.

Tray measures approx 16cm x 7.5cm

Length of snips approx 15.5cm

Height of snuffer approx 7.5cm
