A fine pair of mid-19th-century carved mahogany library armchairs, richly upholstered in deep blue button-tufted velvet.

These elegant chairs display beautifully shaped backs with deep buttoning, generous seats, and boldly carved scrolling arms terminating in classical volute scrolls.

The seats are supported by finely carved cabriole legs, each detailed with acanthus leaf carving and scrollwork, The frames retain a rich, warm mahogany tone, offering excellent contrast against the original blue velvet upholstery.
