French Napoleon III Ebonised Brass & Tortoiseshell Boulle & Marble Pier Cabinet

Here we have a French Napoleon III period (1852-1870) Ebonised & Boulle marble topped pier cabinet. This cabinet is in excellent condition with an intricate symmetrical arabesque style boulle inlay to the front and is a wonderful example of quality 19th century boulle work. The exterior is detailed from top to bottom with brass accents and brass inlay to both the front, the sides and the frieze. To the front corners are two impressive brass lady figures representing a Greek god and on each side is a further two brass faces of ladies representing another Greek god. The base is standing on two large impressive bun feet with brass beading surrounding each.
