19th C Sycamore & Beech Trug

1900 - 1920
Description

A Late 19th Century Sycamore and Beech Trug.

With a bark rim collar, over the dished oblong body, of overlapping staved form, rising in a taper to the ends, and there meeting the bark rim collar.

The Trug with a central bark faced and arched handle, continued to the underside to enclose the circumference of the body. The trug standing on pairs of sledge feet.

Date circa 1900.

Height 12 inches, 31cm.

Width 21 1/2 inches, 55cm.

Depth 12 1/2 inches, 32cm.
