Small leather bound Box in classic Regency Form. The leather has been incised with a cross hatch pattern with four decorative low corner pillars, the front two have decorative brass caps and the back two being less distinct. At the top there is a circular brass decoration with a top central almost wheatsheaf like brass detail. Internally it has been leather lined. And if that isn’t enough to intrigue you on the underside someone has painted a face. It also has brass feet of typical regency form.
Intentionally, I haven''t had it restored or cleaned as half the enjoyment of owning such an exquisite item is being able to transform it from the unusual to the spectacular and watching it evolve.
