A refined late 19th-century French kingwood demi-lune games table, crafted in the manner of Joseph-Emmanuel Zwiener, and executed to an exceptional standard of Parisian cabinetmaking. The table displays beautifully matched kingwood veneers arranged in elegant chevron parquetry, framed by a finely worked gilt-bronze edge, reflecting the sophistication associated with Zwiener-inspired furniture of the Belle Époque.
 
The shaped demi-lune top opens to reveal a green baize-lined playing surface, bordered by a polished kingwood surround. The frieze is finely contoured and enriched with exquisitely cast gilt-bronze mounts, displaying flowing acanthus scrolls and floral motifs characteristic of the Louis XV Revival aesthetic.
