Elegant Art Deco Silver Hip Flask by William Neale, Birmingham 1920

Description

This distinctive solid silver hip flask was made by William Neale and is hallmarked for Birmingham 1920. It has an unusual curved crescent form designed to fit comfortably in a pocket and a hinged flip bayonet lid with locking mechanism. The inner flip lid impressed with a patented registration number.

The flat narrow pedestal base allowing the flask to stand upright. It has a good silver gauge and all parts are separately hallmarked.

Hallmarks:

WN for William Neale.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Date letter "u" for 1920.

Lion Passant.

RD number: 649007

Condition:

Very good.

No dings or dents.

Good watertight seal on the lid.
