Antique Bernard Moore Red Flambe & Crystalline Glaze Effect Art Pottery Plate

Bernard Moore Plate
A wonderful flambe crystalline glaze plate by Bernard Moore. The flambe technique produces unique and unpredictable effects so every item is different. On this example the crystal fronds vary across the surface and the orange ochre ground darkens towards the rim. The reverse is largely red flambe. To the reverse is the Bernard Moore painted signature mark which is a little faint, and there is an impressed clay mark which is somewhat obscured but likely reads Mintons, Mr Moore was well known for using blanks from a number of factories including Minton and decorating them with his glaze forms. It dates around 1910 and is a lovely example of this sought after ceramicists work. Price label remains from the 1990s. to the rear.
Condition
A few surface scratches to the face going through the colour. Minor glaze imperfections from firing.
