A Victorian Bow Fronted Mahogany with Ebony String Secretaire Chest of Drawers C1850

A Victorian Bow fronted Mahogany with Ebony string secretaire chest of drawers and dating from around 1850. This beautiful piece has a rounded edge to the top with three small drawers underneath. Following this is a long deep drawer which the front drops to reveal the secretaire. Inside is a small door to the centre with an inlaid shell on it and six drawers to each side with pigeon holes underneath and a baize writing surface. Under this are three long graduating drawers, all the drawers are pine lined with original knob handles and ivoreen escutcheons. The drawer fronts have a cross banded edge and are strung in ebony. It stands on a splayed bracket feet with a shaped frieze in between.
