Oak Campaign Table - Early 20th Century

An early 20th-century oak field officer''s campaign desk with a quarter-sawn oak top and having a twin drawer frieze and shaped supports united by a stretcher. The legs would have originally folded in for ease of transport but have latterly been secured in place, probably to help with the rigidity and stability of the base.
 
The overall condition is very good, having recently been refinished. This piece would make a charming hallway side table.
