A very nice miniature carriage clock with beautiful ''mock'' tortoise shell case. The Deco inspired handle, hinge, bun feet and bezel are all solid silver. The hallmarks on the handle and hinge tell us that it was made by J Batson & Son (Henry John Batson & Albert Edward Batson) Brewer Street, London, in 1927. The case is in good condition with a slight crack to the base, which has been repaired, and one of the rear feet is slightly smaller than the others, which is reflected in the price. The enamel dial is in excellent condition with delicate hands and Roman numerals. The movement has been fully overhauled and runs for a week once fully wound. A brilliant little clock indeed!
As seen on T.V. Salvage Hunters - The Restorers ! Please remember we are closed Sundays and Mondays, open every other day from 9am until 5pm . If we have not responded to an email, we may not have received it...please call or whatsapp us as well.
