Small Antique French Chinoiserie Sewing Table

Description

A stylish small antique 19th century French ebonised Chinoiserie work table or lamp table dating from circa 1870. Featuring a hand-painted top which lifts up to reveal a lined interior for storage. The front is decorated with a castle, it locks and comes with a key. The base is supported by decoratively turned legs and arched feet joined by a turned cross stretcher, all decorated with gilt acanthus leaves. This sweet table is ideal for a small space and would look fantastic used to display a lamp.

Ebonised wood

Good colour and patina. Scuffs and marks commensurate with age.
