Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Nantgarw porcelain was produced in Wales between 1813 and 1822 under the direction of ceramicist William Billingsley. The manufactory was celebrated for producing exceptionally translucent soft-paste porcelain decorated with high-grade hand-painted botanical and floral motifs.

Regency soft-paste porcelain was crafted using a mixture of white clay and glassy frit fired at lower temperatures than hard-paste porcelain. Decorators applied enamel colours by hand before finishing the scalloped edges with painted gold leaf gilding.

Authentic pieces frequently exhibit a highly translucent body with a slight greenish or bright white translucency under light. Items often bear impressed marks such as NANT-GARW C.W. and display distinct hand-painted floral sprigs or moulded C-scroll rim decorations.

A decorative porcelain plate can be displayed on a plate stand atop a console table or sideboard to add visual interest. Alternatively, mounting multiple porcelain plates on a neutral wall creates a curated gallery focus in dining rooms or hallways.

Dust hand-painted porcelain gently using a clean, soft-bristled brush or microfibre cloth. Avoid immersion in water, dishwashers, or abrasive cleaning compounds, as moisture can compromise delicate gilding and enamel decoration.
