WWII-Era British Royal Navy Bronze Ship’s Bell, George VI Cipher
A distinguished and substantial British Royal Navy bronze ship’s bell, dating from the Second World War period. Cast with the regal cipher ''GR VI'' under a crown, representing the reign of King George VI (1936–1952). Featuring its original heavy iron yoke fitting, internal iron clapper, and traditional rope pull with a turned wooden handle.
The bell exhibits a pleasingly aged bronze patina, characteristic maritime oxidation, and wear from authentic naval use. It produces a clear, resonant ring, indicative of fine craftsmanship.
