A rummer is a large British drinking glass popular during the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, characterised by a wide bowl, short stem, and sturdy foot. The lemon squeezer base refers to a square, press-moulded underside reminiscent of a citrus press, designed to give stability to heavy lead glass vessels.
