Fabulous Mid-century Silver Tea Strainer & Stand by Chatterley & Son, Birmingham 1966

1940 - 1960
Description

This is a very elegant and excellent quality Mid-Century silver tea strainer bears the marks of the reputed J B Chatterley & Sons Ltd. The mesh like finely pierced circular bowl flanked by exquisite fretwork lug handles and resting on the original circular stand. The circular base raised on three leaf-capped paws.

Birmingham Assay Mark

Date letter "S" for 1966.

Dimensions and weight:

Bowl diameter: 5.5cm / 2.2 inches.

Length handle to handle: 11cm / 4.2 inches.
