Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Swedish Grace was a brief yet influential design movement during the 1920s and 1930s that bridged classicism and functionalism. Lighting from this era features clean architectural lines, refined proportions, and subtle embellishments such as fluted columns and delicate brass fittings.

Lamps from this period typically incorporate hardwoods such as mahogany, birch, or rosewood paired with polished or patinated brass. Shades are commonly constructed from spun metal, brass, or painted sheet steel designed to direct light downwards.

Authentic pieces exhibit heavy, cast metal or weighted brass bases, high-grade joinery on timber components, and period-correct wiring apertures. Look for maker marks, serial numbers, or manufacturer stamps on the underside of the base or near the switch socket.

Place the lamp on a contemporary dark wood desk, marble console, or sideboard to serve as a focal point. Its muted metal tones and warm wood finish complement minimalist, Scandinavian, and classic interior schemes alike.

Dust metal and wood surfaces regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid harsh chemical polishes on aged brass to preserve the natural patination, and treat wooden components periodically with a quality beeswax polish.
