A superb George III period mahogany chest of drawers of diminutive proportions and glowing colour.
The rectangular moulded top is raised upon four long graduating drawers with brass handles and escutcheons, flanked by reeded corners, the whole raised upon four ogee feet.
The brasses are historic but appropriate replacements. All drawers open and close with ease. There are some small areas of wear commensurate with age but generally the piece displays extremely well and looks outstanding in situ.
The smaller proportions of this chest makes it extremely versatile, perfect for the smaller bedroom, living room, hall or awkward nook in which nothing of any use will fit.
