A rare good sized English Victorian antique solid sterling silver rimmed glass match striker. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1901 with the maker being C C May & Sons (Charles May). It has been superbly made being a more unusual champagne cork shape and is in superb condition being free from splits chips cracks and repairs, a ding to the silver see photo. It measures almost 2.5 inches (6.2cm) wide by 3 inches (7.6cm) tall and weighs 340 grams. A very well made example.
