Very Rare Pair Solid Silver Sterling Candlesticks Sheffield 1775 18th

A very rare matching pair of Sheffield solid silver sterling column candlesticks.
 
They stand on a square base which is decorated with garlands and ribbons holing a neoclassical plaque with a bishops mitre armorial crest, written “Dieu avec nous”
 
The columns are decorated with winged cherubs rising up to rams head detailing.
 
Loaded bases with green felt base.
 
There is a similar example in the Victoria and Albert museum in London.
 
Height 29.5cm
 
The candlesticks are an exact pair and are made in Sheffield
 
One is hallmarked for the year 1775, the other 1776
 
Both are hallmarked for Silversmiths George Ashfield and Co
