A handsome and well-modelled pair of lead urns in the Adam revival style, early 20th century, each retaining its original domed lid with flame finial. Of classical campana form with reeded bodies, bead-edged bases and decorative swags beneath the rim, the design incorporating small moulded masks in true neo-classical taste.
The patination is excellent—dry, weathered and beautifully mottled—giving them the appearance and authority of far earlier 18th-century examples. Each urn is of a very substantial weight and suitable for interior or exterior use.
A very decorative and genuine pair of early 20th-century lead urns, perfect for flanking an entrance, conservatory, or forming focal points in a formal garden scheme.
