These fine 19th century console tables are a super pair with a wonderful deep, rich antique gilding and a lovely warm hand painted marble effect to the top surfaces. The pair date from around 1870 and have a grand Rococo design with superb carved detail. The frieze has acanthus scrolls, with fruit and vine centrered by a large shell design. The elegant cabriole legs have rolling scroll toes raised on reeded bulb feet. The pair are in good sound condition with a most pleasing colour. The tables measure 90 cms high 77 cms wide by 49 cms deep.
