Ritas Bazaar has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The entwined handles, domed lid and floral finial form a balanced Regency silhouette. The underglaze cobalt “C Dale” mark is an early Coalbrookdale abbreviation recorded only on a small group of ornamental pieces.
