Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery from the 1920s is characterised by geometric symmetry, clean lines, bold architectural shapes, and the extensive use of platinum and diamonds. Influenced by modern industrial design and cubism, pieces from this period departed from organic Art Nouveau motifs in favour of structured, repeating patterns and fine milgrain detailing.

Bracelets from this era were primarily constructed using platinum due to its strength and ability to hold intricate pierced work with minimal metal visibility. Diamonds were typically old European cut or single cut, set alongside delicate milgrain borders and hand-engraved white metal surfaces.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-finished details such as delicate milgrain edging, precise geometric pierced work, and period-appropriate gemstone cuts. Platinum items from the era often bear specific purity hallmarks, crisp hand-engraving, and articulated linkage that allows smooth movement across the wrist.

An antique articulated diamond bracelet serves as an elegant standalone statement piece alongside evening wear or formal attire. When displayed as part of an interior collection, it can be styled inside a velvet-lined glass cloche or placed atop a mirrored vanity tray.

Clean platinum diamond jewellery using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust and oils from underneath the stone settings. Store the piece individually in a soft fabric pouch to prevent diamonds from scratching other surfaces, and have the claws inspected annually by a jeweller.
