An Early Victorian Jar featuring a finely engraved, heavy gauge, sterling silver lid, paired with a hand-cut glass base of striking geometric form. Originally intended for holding powders, salves, or small toiletry items, this refined piece is as functional today as it is decorative. Hallmarked for London, 1855.

Height: 1 7/8" (approx. 5cm)

Diameter: 4 1/2" (approx. 11.5cm)

In good condition – The sterling silver lid retains crisp, intricate detailing with only light age-related surface wear. Glass body does show some scuff marks to the cut glass edges, as you would expect of an antique of this age (example shown in final photo).
