Peter Harris Clocks & Militaria has dated this Late Gothic Donor Figure to the 16th Century.

This would originally have formed part of an altar or devotional group, placed opposite a matching donor or beneath a sacred scene. At 71 cm high, it is an impressive and substantial carving with real presence.

The surface shows an attractive, centuries-old patina. Structurally sound and displaying very well.
