Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The door opens with a large catch to the side to reveal a scale finished in boxwood with impressed lettering and numbers. The brass pendulum weight has been finely milled in solid brass, and it is raised on three brass coated metallic bun feet. In good working order.
