A nicely proportioned late 18th/early 19th-century oak dresser. Of charmingly naive construction, particularly noticeable on the upper plate rack, with some fantastic iron hooks to the front of the shelves. The base has two frieze drawers, both having brass swan neck handles, and is stood on turned legs with a lower stretcher and pot board.
Structurally sound, the overall condition is very good. As you can see from the images, this dresser has a wonderful deep rich colouration. We have noted some historic worm damage to the rear right leg and have treated this once again as a precautionary measure.
