D and A Binder Ltd has dated this Ebonised Countertop Display Cabinet to the 1920s.
The top glass panel shows honest age-related wear in the form of surface scratches, consistent with decades of countertop use in a jeweller’s, or watchmaker’s shop.

Access is from the rear via a wooden-framed mirror door, fitted with its period brass turn latch. The base is enclosed, giving the cabinet a stable footprint and raising the display area to a practical height.
ideal today for showcasing jewellery, curiosities, small retail goods, or personal collections.
