A fine Aesthetic Movement oak fireplace fender featuring cast-iron decorative mounts with geometric circular motifs, turned finials and elegant curved side guards. The central section extends from 110 cm to 130 cm, allowing the fender to fit a range of hearth widths.

The combination of quarter-sawn oak, ebonised curved guards and nickel-plated cast-iron ornaments is typical of high-quality late 19th-century design. A striking and practical piece for a period fireplace.
Condition: Good antique condition with light age-related wear. Extends smoothly. Beautiful original patina to both wood and metalwork.
