A very fine example of a mid 18thc brass skimmer with shaped iron handle, that has a ''heart'' cut into the top of the handle , bordered with brass inlay.....this would have been used in a very nice country kitchen of a farmhouse or manor house....it is so hard to find these ''one off '' utensils from a bygone age of such fine quality.
