Description

A gorgeously rich Georgian gold ring encrusted with gemstones atop lovely ornate shoulders.

SIZE: Q (UK), 8 and a quarter (US).

WEIGHT: 2.1g.

MATERIALS: Gold (tests as minimum nine carat, likely to be at least 15), pearl, ruby, emerald.

CONDITION: In good antique condition; some of the claws are worn but the stones all seem firmly set. The ring has been resized at some time and there are two dark marks inside. The locket back would originally have contained braided hair but is now empty.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None (likely lost when the ring was resized).

ERA: Georgian (c.1714-1837).
