A fine quality Victorian figured burr walnut display cabinet richly adorned with exquisite floral marquetry inlay. The cabinet features beautifully figured burr walnut veneer with superb colour and depth enhanced by delicate marquetry panels to the frieze and the uprights, depicting scrolling foliage, blossoms and trailing stems.
The twin glazed doors retain their original bevelled glass and open to reveal two internal shelves making it ideal for displaying silver, porcelain, or treasured collections. Decorative gilt-metal mounts and mouldings frame the doors and upright adding a refined, elegant contrast to the warm walnut tones.
The piece stands on a shaped plinth base giving it a balanced and graceful presence suitable for any drawing room, hallway, dining room, or study.
Condition
Good antique condition with light age-related wear entirely commensurate with age. The cabinet presents beautifully and is ready to place.
